New Ground

I have recently spoken with Lawrence Levy about the progress being made on the work to relocate the club to a new ground. It seems the Colney Heath site is not now a viable option for the club to move to, the work to remove the contaminated ground has proved to be prohibitive and the Green Belt review has not shown the site suitable for development. Both John McGowan and Lawrence have said they are looking at alternative sites for relocation, which includes the Park Street site." The Trust board will be seeking a meeting with John and Lawrence in the New Year, to get an update on this matter and arranging a Fans’ Forum too, where this and other matters of interest to supporters can be aired.

Club Shop

The new scarf has proven to be a good seller with over half the stock now sold and I am looking at ordering a new style design shortly. The Pro Star jackets have also sold well and I know of 2 supporters who will have found one in their xmas stocking yesterday! To date the shop has raised over £800 in the last month or so all of which goes towards the end of season pitch works. We also sell club shop items at the Tourist Information Centre located in the city centre and this has just been restocked .

Away Travel to Hungerford Town Saturday 28th December

This Saturday we travel to Berkshire to face Hungerford Town, there are limited places on the coach so if you wish to go please speak to me at the Chesham match on Boxing Day, when I am working in the announcers box.

Donation to Isabel Hospice

The picture shows Molly Slean of the fundraising team at the hospice and Ryan’s father John presenting the cheque. John has asked me to pass on a message of thanks from his family including Ryan’s wife, Chloe, to everyone, who donated money to the sponsored walk. The sum raised was £1,000.00.

Quiz Night – Friday 14th March

Our next event in the Saints Bar is the Music & Entertainment quiz on Friday 14th March, starting at 7.45pm. This is likely to be a full house so if you would like to book a table, please speak to me as soon as possible.

My thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout the year. We still need volunteers on match days, not necessarily every week but if you can help in anyway come and talk to us at the York Road end.
